Being hypnotised is just like having a daydream. You are fully aware and in control of everything the whole time.
Hypnotherapy works by relaxing the mind and body and allowing the cognitive part of the brain to switch off as it would in a daydream, then aiming all positive suggestions at the hypothalamus, (subconscious) we can then set about making a change.
There are many techniques a therapist can use in order to access various emotions and suppressed issues that a person may have. They are all safe, effective and work without any side effects. |
